If you are interested in everything that has something to do with technology, arduino's, robotics, soldering, pcb design, programming, 3D modeling, 3D-printing and much more, than this is the place to be!
In this channel I will post videos of my DIY projects. These projects can go from 3D printable bearings to robotic arm projects. Most of my projects use 3D-printed parts so you will see a lot of 3D-modeling and printing in my video's. You can also see some basic electronics, programming of different arduino's and some soldering (simple circuits and diy pcb's on prototype boards). I hope you like my video's. If not, feel free to leave a comment on what could be improved. This really helps me to create better videos. I would say like and subscribe but most importantly enjoy!

Building a full scale flying Delorean Part 1: Making the bodywork
This is the first part of the full scale flying Delorean project where I make the complete bodywork out of EPS foam with the help of my ABB IRB6400 robot.
After I got my robot to work again (see video here: ua-cam.com/video/64rQNqK_6PE/v-deo.html) I was looking for a first project i could make with it. At first I thought about building a type of sports car (maybe tesla roadster or similar) but then saw the "Back To The Future" movie again one night and thought that would be a great project as well. The model would be made out of EPS foam so it would even be light enough to maybe fly. So i started designing the model and did some calculations and it turns out to be actually feasable.
So the first part of the project is complete and the properties closely match the properties of the 3D-model, The 3D-model has a calculated weight of 13.940kg and the real life model has a weight of 13.890kg, which is only of few grams difference.
Subscribe to the channel if you want to receive updates on the next videos of this project, much appreciated.

Turning a broken 2 ton robot into a CNC-machine | ABB IRB6400
Переглядів 486 тис.Рік тому
Here's an overview of the project I've been working on for the past few months: resurrecting this 2 ton cast iron beast from the dead and turning it into a CNC milling machine, mainly for foam. The robot is an ABB IRB6400 / 2.4-200, manufactured in 1999. The documents that were still with the robot state that the original customer was the Eurostar train factory located in Austria, where it serv...

3D-printed double helical gear pump/water pump/hydraulic pump *watertight*
Переглядів 589 тис.2 роки тому
Recently saw a video of Boston Dynamics it's Atlas robot doing all kind of awesome stuff and learned that the robots were fully hydraulic. I was wondering if it would be possible to build a fully 3D-printable hydraulic system that's watertight and can be used for robotics. This double helical gear pump is the first component of the fully 3D-printable hydraulic system. Note: The pump is watertig...
3D printed 1x1x1m 5 axis cnc / 3D printer part 1: XYZ axis
Переглядів 21 тис.2 роки тому
I've always wanted to build a somewhat bigger 3D-printer and also recently came across a video of a 5-axis cnc machine for milling molds out of foam, so i thought it would be nice to build a 2 in 1 machine. The actual purpose of this machine is to serve as a test platform to test out different manufacturing techniques such as milling, 5-axis milling 3D-printing and maybe even laser cutting. The...

I just recently bought some new equipment (HBM mini lathe and a 3018 cnc-machine) and wanted to do a little project to test out the 2 machines and get familiar with them. Since I just passes 25K subs I decided to do a little giveaway to show my appreciation to all of you. I really would've never thought I would even reach 1K let alone 25K, so thank you very very much ;-) I tried to work as safe...
3D-printed shredder

A while back i uploaded a video of my 3D-printable gearbox and some people told me it looked like a shredder, I thought this was actually a nice idea so i build one. I mainly build this thing just for fun and to show people what the possibilities are with 3D-printed parts because some people still think 3D-prints are not functional and you can only make vases, figures or boats with a 3D-printer...

I was thinking about building one for a long time and finally started the design, bought the necessary components and put it together. I'm quite happy with the result so far. However, this bot has never fought so i don't know exactly how well it will perform in an actual game. The 3D-printed blade is great and the aluminium one is even better but i'm not sure how well the 3D-printed armor will ...
SpaceX inspired edf rocket part 2: Final assembly, tuning and maiden flight

This is the second part of my Spacex inspired edf rocket project where I assemble the final pieces of the rocket, tune the correct PID values and perform a maiden flight. In order to find the correct PID values i had to build a rig that suspends the rocket in it's center of gravity and which allows for 2 degrees of freedom. I first tried to tune the PID values with the rocket suspended on a wir...

3D printed high torque servo/gearbox version 2
Переглядів 4,2 млн3 роки тому
This servo/gearbox is the new and improved version of my original gearbox design (video: ua-cam.com/video/8sq4pHdSXYM/v-deo.html). I also made a shredder using this gearbox (video: ua-cam.com/video/IN2g572FZOo/v-deo.html). The original one had a gear ratio of 30:1 and the speed of the output shaft was about 715 RPM which made it difficult to tune in the right PID parameters. This new version ha...

This turntable is a new and improved version of my hand cranked version. A lot of people suggested to me I should put a stepper motor onto it to get some very nice cinematic shots. This is exactly what I did. I gave it a bit more functionality than just a regular cinematic turntable. I added the possibility to use the turntable as a rig to capture photos 360 degrees around an object. The photos...

How did you get rid of spinning motion by reaction?
Holy cow this is amazing! I have so many questions! Ahhh haha. I want to make a lightweight full size DeLorean time machine as well, but just to hang from the ceiling. The way you did it is so cool. That saved you so much time not having to cut and carve. Any more videos of this?
Thanks man, yes saved a lot of time with the robot carving the car but on the other hand spend a lot of time designing the car in CAD. I'm currently editing the second video, should be posted pretty soon.
It's actually very healthy
This looks so similar to something i am making, weird!
which software are u using for the dimension chek on 0:13
Autodesk Fusion.
Nice work buddy!
nice. how much time did it took from landing to first operation?
🇨🇦/🇺🇸... I'm VERY impressed as well as grateful that you posted this! In this day and age of concern over AI taking over jobs, I've been trying to learn more SKILLZZZ. ;-) I'd like to be able to learn more about designing and printing gears. Why gears? Because small industry buys machines from china and then, when they break, they have to figure out what part is broken. One of those parts is often a worn out nylon gear. If you can learn to design and manufacture gears, you can learn to design and manufacture many other things! ;-)
crazy good quality
Please tell me what is the name of your cnc bit or mill?
Ok where to start? Can you help me know how to build a cardboard version for a science project / presentation in the late fall. I want it to roll into the presentation conference hall and am thinking it could be powered by a lawn motor engine. Any suggestions???
Genius!
awesome work! do you think you can use this robotic arm for CNC applications on metals (e.g., Aluminum or Steel)?
That's cool, but can the robot run faster? It"s look much slower then the CNC machine.I intend to use the robot for CNC machining just like you but i'm just worrying about the speed.
Servo? where is?
This is actually a reaaly good compact way to create moving wings for a cosplay, my paranoid side would probably modify the outer shell to be thicker if I am mounting it to something. But it looks perfect to go as is!!!
When will part 2 be out?
Maaaan! Where is part 2? I’ve been waiting for so long…🙏
what are you using to clean the robot. 0:34, is it pressure washing, foam wash, sand blasting.....??
Do we have an update on this? Can't wait to see it fly
There is just one other thing ,overlooked - the inlet and outlet should be doubled up to attain a bigger flow rate.
does fusion 360 has an addon to generate a spiral bevel gear, or did you design it from scratch
Bro which software did u used
you need a purge line instead of a skirt so it will get sluffed off when it advances
impressive gearbox, but that you have an gearbox is a problem, for every extra part you have is one more potential point of failure. the grinder should have had just one low speed high torque engine that you connect directly to the shredder.
You need to make more videos! I'm currently working on the 3d scanner and can't wait to do the catapult!
I want the names of some programs for design and simulation....................Is there any help?
I have everything in front of me to put this together, but one thing is confusing -- is the bluetooth controller just completely disconnected from everything? In other words, do I have to take off the plate and switch it on/off? Do I have to change the battery for the bluetooth controller? What's the black strip you put in the servo housing behind the controller? It appears there's no other reference to the controller besides a few seconds in the video.
The Bluetooth remote is connected to an android smartphone, when you push the button on the Bluetooth remote, the smartphone will take a picture. Instead of your finger pushing the button, a servo is being used. The servo is controlled by the arduino. More info about the project can be found here: hackaday.io/project/168301-arduino-controlled-photogrammetry-3d-scanner
@@BrianBrocken Hi Brian, thanks for your reply. I understand that, however the bluetooth remote needs a power source, otherwise I'm occasionally going to be changing the battery. So, doesn't this mean disassembling the unit anytime the bluetooth remote needs to be charged or have batteries replaced?
This project is about 4 years old and never had to change the battery of the remote, so I think you'll be fine.
@@BrianBrockenWell that is unexpected but very good news to hear. Thank you so much for replying on an older video and continuing to support your project. Building projects like this has helped me learn loads about electronics. Thank you for sharing!!!! Can't wait to finish my build :)
Hi how do you transfer rapid to CNC-code ?
is it possible to connect this to an eeg circuit?
Great build. Did you have any problems with first layer not adhering well on the bed? Have you tried PETG? Also, in your site , there are no instructions for the arduinos and electronics programming. Do you have those for sale or something ? I want to make this but i need a step by step guide. thanks
Awesome build

bravo vraiment pas mal! 👍+ 📌 je vous ai liké et mis en tant qu'abonné
Can you give me the advice to use Fusion360 or Sprutcam. thanks 😊
Fantatsic design!
cool!!!, where did you find such a milling bit?
kg ?
Where you been? It's been awhile since you posted.im wanting to see this car fly
Impressive! Quick question, out of curiosity how much is a robot like that new, and I much did it cost you?
THE PLATE GEAR DOESNT WORK - HELP
I used to work at Jaguar Land Rover and would sometimes walk through the body shop just to marvel at the ABBs in action.
wow, its amazing, tks for sharing
PART 2! PART 2! PART 2! PART 2! Haha! CANT WAIT!!! Amazing work so far!
what is the program you use for modeling this excellent thing ?
Autodesk Fusion 360
Abb can be much faster :DD
Of course, until you get error "50082: Deceleration limit Calculation of joint deceleration time exceeds internal limits for this motion.", it's pretty old tech that's not build to execute a lot of robot targets very close to each other at high speed. The memory is to small to store all the points (1 floppy disk, thats why they are send from a pc) and the processor is to slow to execute the large amount of points fast enough.
